Mecha Sonic is the first of Dr. Eggman's Metal Series robots and Sonic's first robotic duplicate. After the Death Egg fell onto Angel Island the Dr. Eggman would convince one of the locals, Knuckles the Echidna to push back Sonic while he repaired the Death Egg. in the meantime this also allowed him to create the next model in the mecha series, Mecha Sonic Mk II, and refine it's abilities to better combat Sonic. after he finished Mecha he left him and a squadron of Eggrobos to guard the Death Eg
