What is past tense? Students will have examples of verbs that end in -ed and rules to follow when they encounter a verb that has a vowel followed by a consonant. This packet will enable children to understand which words should have the -ed added in the end to form a correct word when speaking and writing about the past.   Students will: rewrite sentences using a past tense verbs provided using -ed words color to match present tense with past tense that belong together color by the past and present tense using -ed words rewrite sentences in past tense using -ed words match present tense verbs with past tense verbs word search to find matching past tense form cut and glue past and present tense words write the past tense of a present tense word turn words from the present tense to paste tense -ed rewrite a whole paragraph in the past tense to verify knowledge   The activities included here are fun and engaging in order to provide a more stimulating environment for students to learn.
