Magic and comedy unite in this wildly entertaining adaptation of Tachibana Higuchi's GAKUEN ALICE manga. Young school girls Mikan and Hotaru are best friends. One fateful day, Hotaru is escorted away in a fancy black car that's affiliated with a school in Tokyo called Alice Academy. Crushed at the loss of her favorite pal, Mikan scurries after her, determined to enroll. But Alice Academy is a mysterious place where explosions, superpowers, giant baby chicks, and axe-wielding teddy bears are the norm. Mikan realizes she'll have to learn to adapt because once students enter Alice Academy there is no escape.
